Well, I definitely believe in paranoid parents. My nephew is 10 and he’s told me about some of his friends who aren’t allowed to watch certain shows on TV. One of his favorites is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtlX1pujSr4 Gravity Falls – a kiddy style X-Files show. [actually some of the graphics in their “shock” scenes are nightmare fuel]. It’s a very well done show.
He’s named at least three boys in his class that aren’t allowed to watch it.
One isn’t allowed on the family computer at all. I think that’s ancient predator paranoia. [not that it isn’t real but the support community online for GenZ amongst themselves is huge – it’s not the 90s anymore]
Now his favorite show last year was the Amazing world of Gumball. Now THAT show _definitely_ has an agenda and is proud of it. I think it’s one of the most intelligent, awesome shows for kids out there.
_This one_? I can definitely understand religious parents restricting their kids from, although I think it’s stupid if they did because it’s a great show.
The Monty Pythonesque humor is fantastic and I never saw so many evolution jokes shoved into a show.
