The lore behind Yokai is amazing. How it made it to American TV is actually amazing to me, considering it has a genuinely scary lore behind it.
I don’t know if the show is still on or if it ever got popular in the USA but I liked it the moment I heard of it. Being based on real mythology, I figured it _could_ have staying power.
