The limits of Moore’s Law come from how bits flip. Change what you use for bit representation to something physically smaller and you can make smaller things.

It’s a fundamental change. No longer electronics (electron ‘balls’ with quantum effects) but instead “spintronics” – using spin for bit representation.

It’s already in use. You have spintronic devices.

But what’s new new is that it’ll soon be possible to have low/no heat generating chips controllable by fields instead of current (which makes heat).

The entropy from heat has been a big problem for a long time.

=====
History of spintronics.
Spintronics (controlling spin) has been replacing electronics (controlling electron “balls” with quantum effects) for 20 years now. You have spintronics on you right now.
