the KKK is a very localized phenomenon, solely in the USA and even then, only in select segments of the USA,

There’s still active KKK where I live. They wax philosophical and wave the Confederate flag and have BBQs.

I don’t think there was a time that the KKK represented Christians. Maybe it did to a group of people ignorant of the totality of Christiandom, as the KKK is a very localized phenomenon, solely in the USA and even then, only in select segments of the USA, CERTAINLY not the majority of the USA and definitely not the majority of Christiandom, unless one limits to evangelical extremism, which always struck me as an long-living extremist group rather than any form of Christianity.

I haven’t been Christian in a long time (agnostic) but I strive to have accurate history whenever possible.
