the human ability to use metaphor-as-descriptor is one of our greatest strengths.

I’ve always had a greater fondness for the metaphorical over the logical in general, mostly because the human ability to use metaphor-as-descriptor is one of our greatest strengths.

Logic is good for computers, but computers are capable of only a very tiny subset of human intelligence potential, so to me, sticking to analytical logic is a severe restriction on human capabilities.

But it’s a preference. I do enjoy computer logic though when writing programs or working in Excel. There’s no greater feeling to me than getting a set of inter-dependent formulas to cascade properly and generate the results I expect.

But I don’t expect Excel to wax poetic smile emoticon
