The head of the Russian Space Agency the other day had a royal fit on Twitter as he was worried that the cooperation between NASA and them was going to be cut off on the ISS and he spent several tweets talking about how wonderful Russian rockets are and that it would fall in the ocean without them…
… well, a few hours later, he was satisfied, He got assurances that nothing has changed between NASA and the Russian Space agency with the ISS nor would it regardless of what happens on the ground politically.
The only worry I have is if there are anti-math and anti-science politicians who are already eager to cut higher education science and mathematics funding ANYWAY, this could be their excuse to do so.
But I don’t see university administrations causing problems here.
There _was_ the Chinese being kicked out of American Universities a few years ago. But I think the whole thing with the Huwaii 5G chipset was part of that somehow, I don’t know. All seemed odd.
