the truism seems always to be true; and why I prefer online communication in general; many ppl seem to spend more time tolerating the other speaker and waiting for their chance to speak, only listening for keywords to latch onto… OR, more commonly, paying no attention at all and just continuing their dialogue.
Then again.. it’s likely I do the same when given a chance to speak.. so I usually sit quiet and do the “good listener” routine, ask appropriate questions, play mentor. Seems to work.
