I was raised by a mom and grandmother. I made myself into my own dad. [took me decades but here I am, raising myself]

Did I feel a “lack” for no persistent male figures? At times but mostly because of society. “Father son days” *usually* let single moms in, but a few places, did not.

It’s in those places where the rigid enforcement of traditional roles, I felt as a kid and I saw it as a negative. Probably one of the things that started my “society sure is fucked up” attitude.

But male role models were plentiful. I got to construct my own model, not limited to a single flawed individual with their own hangups and life frustrations.

I just took the best of the best and used that as my role model. I think it worked out pretty well.
