Very true. It’s my love and hate for marketing professionals in general. Some of the most cutting edge science isn’t found in academic papers but in boardrooms brainstorming new hooks.
One of my favorite love/hate old examples is Muzak. Hardly used anymore I think but it worked and worked well.

Yeah. It’s weird but helps. I admire and hate it simultaneously. Newer examples are controlling lighting in schools to modify sleep/wake cycles. I’m for and against it at the same time, I dunno why.
