That’s a tough one. Sad to say, it’s possible that there are people whose sense of authenticity is satisfied by whatever cliches provide.
Look at religions. People who are born and raised in particular religions in religious communities have everything they need handed to them; an entire spectrum of how to think and behave and works for everybody around them. And if it’s a complete and comprehensive religion, it will capture a majority of human needs, although what captures all of them?
And so, they can speak to each other in their cliches and proverbs for entire lifetimes, embedded in nursery rhymes or poetry or religious scriptures and may well have a satisfactory sense of well-being that would pass the muster in any sense of well being scale.
