It was a hit. He was on a quest to murder citizens.
I disagree with the lack of charges entirely.
Easy to cheer when he murders a citizen you don’t like.
Admitting to it doesn’t get too many brownie points. Yeah, you did it. No cookie for you. You committed a crime.
If anything, this makes me go back to my original belief that sex-offender registries will cause more harm than good. People that feel the privilege entitles them to go WAY outside of the social contract are dangerous.
There’s only one situation I can see vigilantism potentially justified – and this isn’t it. Even then, that should only afford a reduced sentencing, not “no charges”.
