That depends. I don’t think this is a good first message. This can easily be used as a way to victim blame. I think this message is important for people at a certain advanced state of healing but before then, it’s important to identify clearly and completely what the triggers are and that can take time and then you may have to avoid them for a time to get a sense of who you are and who you want to be and where you want to go. There’s a depth to the pain that “able to move through” doesn’t cover, as if it’s a shallow brook one must simply cross. This message is likely excellent at some points in the journey but certainly not out of the blue and not as a poster on a wall or as a bumper sticker; it’s later on in a process, not at the start nor introduction nor likely for a long time.
