That a large enough segment of someone’s followers behaves badly enough for there to be a need for the Leader to say “Stop That!”, is at least SOME sign that perhaps there’s something in his ideas that are worth throwing away. Look at Islam. Look at Christianity. Maybe at least PART of the problem with violence and bad actors from certain ideologies is that perhaps there’s a flaw in those ideologies that should be addressed. As a logical thinker, you must acknowledge this possibility. I acknowledge that there are aspects in some religions that are bad when amplified and should be removed and not encouraged and I see this as much the same.

and it *is* hard for me to understand a follower-mindset. It’s not how I think.
