Teresa Anta San Pedro
none in literature could match before or since for me
not only was much of the subject matter very much that of the inner journey, but as a tangible experience, I found myself understanding what I was reading without hearing it in my head
I simply understood the Spanish and my brain created visuals
I was also studying theoretical physics on my own at the time – and even now as a hobby still – but at the time that’s what I was wanting to go to college for, while i was also exploring some esoteric religious things, simultaneous journeys that continue still, and there you provided me Borges who was exploring simultaneity, branching possibilities without enforcing probabilities, fitting perfectly within other aspects of my interests, even computer programming with its branching cases and the internet i’d just got on at the time (1989/1990) – meeting new people who were impossible to meet otherwise in other timezones, places, sociocultural environments, ages and life situations. Friends impossible otherwise.
it’s all organically intertwined and I’m grateful.
