« The thing that drives me nuts about just about EVERY write-up about quantum computing is the whole “IT’S SHOCKING AND SURPRISING THAT THINGS BEHAVE IN SUCH WEIRD WAYS” with the tired analogies to billiard balls, the double-slit experiment, etc. I have a notion: Why not change education so that we TEACH the quantum mechanics as NORMAL at an early age and move backwards to Newton and to further past as later background material? I mean we all end up with the same cognitive stumbling blocks because we get educated in the same order of thing, falling into the same mistakes, not just in this but in other fields that use the same “Lets go past to present”. Why not start with now and go back in time later so each generation is given the BEST of today so they can push us all forward?

he seems to make quality videos from the few mins I saw. It’s just “how I take in information” best is through reading/skimming/summarizing. Videos allow for multimodality but it’s a linear progression in a talk, which I process better in reading.
It’s a blind spot and it’s a big one. Even when it’s pointed out, it’s hard to see it. I’m still learning. It’s like having a piece of hair sticking up on the back of the head that everybody else can see. A milder example is what’s sometimes referred to as the American Assumption. “Everybody on the internet is an American white male in my age range”.
“tribal instincts” –> flawed logic When facing off against other tribe, identifying flawed logic of other tribe improves. So, if you want to identify flawed logic better, follow your tribal instinct, stay in your tribe and you will be better at identifying the flawed logic of the other tribe. But that doesn’t mean a tribe will be able to identify their OWN flawed logic better, as tribal instincts have rendered their logical abilities flawed.
It was noticed but only by the US Air Force. They didn’t want to say anything, so there was nothing for us to hear. But if we were the US Air Force, then we’d both notice and also hear it. Conclusion: We are not the US Air Force.

It’s steps. Time passes. There’s a specialty field that deals with effects we can’t yet measure in a timewise fashion but I think that is a granularity problem for the most part.
