Yeah, that’s the problem I have with a lot of these things that show speed bursts and stuff. I can run really fast for 30 seconds too, but then I’m lying on the ground in pain for 10 minutes after that. I was the #1 sprinter in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade – loved seeing my name up there. I gave it my all, and got the credit. But when we did the 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, etc, I’d be in the back of the pack.
Sustained performance over time is usually more critical than occasional peak performance, but it depends on the system and the needs of the user.

Well, I know where the bottleneck is in THAT design. Gotta love marketing though. They get us believing all sorts of things that just ain’t so. Scary thing is: even though I don’t ‘speak hardware’ all that much anymore, I understand your every word. That should scare me somewhat but doesn’t.
