you’re right – I was being exceedingly flippant even though I know better. Oddly enough, the way I got there was from a book on Surfacant science where he was poo pooing one of the metrics they use (showing the point where micelles form, which he considers uninteresting because the purpose of surfactants is to be simply an interface layer). But the thing he poo pood intrigued me so I went on a side trip.
