I’m up to 130 books on LibraryThing.
Their app reads the barcode and it works great. Very efficient. I put in physical books around here, and books that I remember reading in the past.
As for my public library, I was a little baffled why I couldn’t look at the history of my past checkouts.
And I forgot: United States has or had privacy laws.
They can’t or at least once upon a time couldn’t keep that sort of record on you because of its potential for abuse by government authorities.
I’m glad it’s free now: the limit was 200 which is why I never bothered. I know I’d pass 200 easily because my plan was never to catalog physical books that I own but every book I ever read or was influential in some way AS WELL AS tracking physical assets.
Now I can and am.
