Structure mapping engine – Wikipedia

Ah, I’ve been looking for this again. Structure Mapping Engine. Basically, it’s a shortcut for understanding a diverse amount of subjects via analogy and it’s likely how we learn complicated things.

Analogies are good when accurate but can be awful when wrong or misleading.

Nevertheless, as it’s part of how humans comprehend new things (by mapping them to things they already understand), it’s useful to know how it works.

(it’s also excellent for passing school tests)
