It’s related to FLOW. When I was obsessed with the Eastern Orthodox Church, I read all about “flow” side of deep mystical prayer states, noticing the mind and emotions as they pass by.
Then a few years later read “Flow” by Malcolm Gladwell… led to a slight infatuation with Gladwell (’til I realized he was popularizing commonly known things… but honestly, I’m glad he did – and he’s a great storyteller. Still disappointed that it wasn’t “new”, but I liked how he packaged it together).
Then, 2 years ago, I went on a quest to record my EVERY SINGLE THOUGHT… and spent 6 months writing every thought down… well, for the first three months, then it tapered. Thousands of notecards, things on the computer, etc.
Learned a lot. Still working on that “I’m gonna find out who I am” project. Never ends, always fun. smile emoticon
