Started watching with my grandmother when I was 6.5 and it was a new import to America. I only start remembering whole episodes from age 8 on.
I was blown away by the simulcast 5 doctors situation though I never wore a scarf and would be proud of not *really* being a full “Whovian” while secretly being jealous of them.
Didn’t read the books or write fan fic like my 3rd girlfriend did.
BUT: I suffered after Doctor Who was a dead show. 15 yrs of shit tier time travel shows. No idea if Doctor Who would come back.
But it did.
So, fuck off with the complaining or go watch every episode of Time Cop and Quantum Leap and you’ll stop complaining.
Besides, Peter Davidson was supposed to be a woman and that was 1980. I was there. Young, but there and I remember th eexcitement of a possible woman doctor.
This is nothing new. Doctor Who just went the long way around.
Doctor Who is not like other shows and these constant attempts to shoehorn it into comic book politics or gamergate politics is ridiculous.
And Canon? One thing ABOUT this show is that it is supposed to be unexpected. It’s the same Doctor, different facets. You can compare “your favs” ’til you’re TARDIS blue in the face but that misses the point entirely.
