“stabbing that horror button over and over again, amplifying the fear and using it justify all that followed”

Very wise and a big yes to

“stabbing that horror button over and over again, amplifying the fear and using it justify all that followed”

The horror button is so commonly pushed in the USA, we *think* we have become immune to it ourselves, but we haven’t.

The way we are shown a single event over and over and over and over and again, messes with our brains.

At some level, we reexperience the event *as if* it’s current.

Even if it happened a long time ago.

My 10 year old nephew wasn’t born yet. 9-11 to him is like Vietnam War was for me. A historical fact for school.
