Sounds like what I do – and it’s good to hear a confirmation. I’m not _overly_ concerned in that these are common enough middle school aged things. Then again, two of his school friends are getting deep into 4chan /pol culture. He stays away from it but there’s some effects. Basically, when he starts sounding “too” alt-right-ish (alt-lite anyway) (copying a youtuber or whatever), I stop and ask some questions and give different perspectives.
One thing that works for now is telling him when something he says/does “sounds like Xbox culture – you turning into EdgyTeen now?” and he gets it. I had to show him a little about MGTOW earlier today – I find showing him a bit of what extremes can lead to seems to keep him from anything cultish just yet.
