Sometimes it helps me although this time, I followed distraction. I got thrown back in my personal timeline to a show I saw as a kid, “Star Blazers” and now I have that awesome themesong in my head. Better than the Beatles to me.

I got myself out of public for 9th-12th grade after tripping over a couple of John Holt books and Summerhill in the public library in the 8th grade. It was eye-opening that there was “another way possible”.

I believe in choice. Bigly. But it has to be done right. That’s why I’m cautious here. It *seems* they’re going to create a power vacuum in order to fill it with big funding in a direction I don’t want to see, amounting to a replacement of oligarchy and not as much choice as promised.

Same. It’d be fun to re-score movies even : take an existing movie and put a different track on it. I’ve played with that a *little* through youtube for fun. Sometimes you can find the “vocals only” of a song which lets you combine it with different music.

Joe got to suffer through my long-winded explanation as to *why* it took me so long to watch Dune but suffice to say, by the time I saw it, I was beyond the point of it “hooking me”, which is what I wanted. [I learned young that I had to be careful about movies that ‘grab me’ ’cause I get too hooked]

Oh it was another conversation in another place and another time but it actually helped me clarify my thoughts enough so you could hear the main point. He had to suffer through me thinking in comment-after-comment

I need to “unroll” my thoughts before I can summarize. I envy people that can summarize THEN unroll. I’m one of those backwards people.

That’s me. I don’t know what I’m talking about until I’m done talking about it.
