Someone asked “How to use time most efficiently?” and I used a metaphor that my not-enough-coffee brain thought of first. Feel free to shred it š

Q: “How to use time most efficiently?”
You’re a complex, adaptive system working within and is also a part of your environment.
Time is a kind of “working space”, much like space to prepare food in a kitchen.
Is your cutting board big enough? Are your knives the right size and sharpness for the veggies to cut up? Are the sizes you cut up your food into the right sizes for your mouth to eat it later?
But unlike food preparation, you don’t have all or most of the ingredients yet or all the knives or even know what you’re making yet.
But you DO have access to a series of cutting boards of different sizes.
That’s your workspaces.
So, as life comes at you, reach with the right sized cutting board, giving yourself enough time to do tasks. But if you know of a large item coming, get the big cutting board clean and ready (prepare enough time to do the big thing).
That’s my first thought on this.
