some left wing parents are extremists too. some right wing parents are extremists too. so what? I know a lot of small VERY left wing democratic or schools running that have been boosted by the extra $$$$ available by states and federal government to fund their smaller school projects. The pandemic has FINALLY cracked the egg allowing for homeschooling to become MAINSTREAM and commonplace for ALL and not just hippies and bible thumpers as it were. It’s gone beyond being a political thing now. However, that said, there ARE some scammy situations out there and there are also some “classical academies” that are either run by political $$ grabbing grifters or attempting to factories pumping out future politico-religious beings onto the American landscape – although their track record for actually DOING SO is less than stellar (there’s one particular franchise I’m thinking of but I won’t name). But overall the pandemic has been WONDERFUL for alt schooling at both the K-12 level and the early college level. Before 2020, it was a much different world.
