Silicon [dirt = SILICON] never goes extinct. That stuff is amazing. Seals leaky drafts, makes our skin waterproof, we walk on it everywhere and it’s it’s like mixing RUBBER and COPPER together to make an insulating-conducting wonky weird substance that we’re basing our computers on.
So yeah, we need dirt for the Internet. Simple.
Oh, and Windows are made of it too. One we see through, the other runs on modified dirt.
Dirt keeps us from falling to the center of the earth due to gravity. It would SUCK without dirt (literally): Imagine:
