SO: three types of ACTIVE TRANSPORT (needs energy). a) gets a blip of energy (the red square) b) the ATP/ADP process which is its own thing c) light driven pump like the automatic doors in the supermarket. [yeah, this is part of my vestibule thing] Not working with the uniport/symport/antiport right now as that’s like passwords to me (the security feature of vestibules) but I’ll leave it for now. I know this is biology 101 for a lot of people but it’s the direction I’m coming here from that makes this interesting to me.
