So, the point of this is relating to the past two years in: What way? It’s a closed period of history. 2009-2016. The year is now 2018. You can find a list of George W. Bush from 2000-2008 that is similar. You’ll also be able to create one for Donald J. for 2017-2018. Only one is current and changeable.

He was a basically standard neolib, just like Trump, and W and Clinton, and HW and Reagan.

======

You think standard Americans don’t know they’re being screwed by every politician ever?

Of course they do.

Just don’t wave the little dick of power in our faces 7x a day.

======

No less and no more than any other. Line em up side by side. Only exception is probably Carter but he came in at a bad time.

=====

Eh, put in historical context, you can make the same list for any. Do a list for others and I’ll be impressed. But focusing on the last guy is short-sighted as it implies the current guy is a-ok or no worse.

=====

Well hecc, I stand corrected. I did a 3rd grade book report on Carter The Peanut Farming President in 1980 and since heard both trash talking and idolizing of him since.

I like him. See him as reformed since 1980.

=====

Now you’re going deeper than I go. I usually stick with my timeline, and anything prior to memory, I keep a naive vague knowledge about old troubles unless it relates specifically to something of interest to me.

I keep a zeitgeist view of history for the most part, rather than Great Man.

——

Oh that, yeah. I remember stuff about that with mobsters and politicians in the 1920s and 1930s.
