So maybe my hunting instinct is for shooting the 800 lb invisible gorilla in the room

I think I was always a pacifist. Mr. Compromise. Even video games I never was much for the killing ones.

I _do_ get a rush out of tackling problems when they arise. When there’s disagreements between people or I feel someone’s getting the short end of the stick, even if I disagree with them, I defend them at least to the point that there’s a handshake, however uneasy it may be.

I guess I try to find the glue that holds disparate things together and pulls them apart. Common patterns, spotting gaps, looking for unseen opportunities, hidden gems otherwise overlooked.

So maybe my hunting instinct is for shooting the 800 lb invisible gorilla in the room but not killing it but taking its picture and showing it. Then I step back and let them wrestle the gorilla to the ground once they see it, but if they forget about the gorilla and start attacking each other, I step back in and remind them it’s there. I sometimes get both sides attacking me instead and I defend myself – and at least it stops them from fighting each other for a little bit.

I mean, we all have the same instincts – it’s just where they’re focused at. Never thought much about my hunting instincts but being neither a hunter nor a photographer (too impatient for that I think), I figured it had to be somewhere.
