so I defined the partials, the harmonics. That was saved to a cassette tape as audio, in the form of magnetic tape oxide particles moving around and sitting still. more or less. I played it yesterday and saved it on an MP3 file which I opened up in Audacity. Audacity displays the frequencies – and there it shows a beautiful comb like pattern showing all of the original partials/harmonics I’d originally programmed into the instrument and performed and recorded.
