True, although there’s commitment level and the “is it really changed or flipped?”. For example, changing one’s mind on an issue that one’s not fully committed to isn’t difficult, and also “position flips” are not difficult: going from a strong commitment to one side and then flipping to a strong commitment to the other side.
So finding “what’s in common” between the mind-changes is helpful in forensic analysis of self, imo.
