I tentatively agree. It’s something to be done with care, even on an individual basis, because there are often other factors other than intelligence and expertise that might cause poor performance or an opinion that appears to be misinformed.

English as a second language for example, can appear as low intelligence. Someone having a strong ideological view can appear to be low intelligence when there’s a lot of hidden information *behind* their stance that we don’t fully know.

So, even calling somebody “an idiot” I do with care.

Lack of skill is a possible reason to discriminate, although even there, if someone is qualified to judge lack of skill then they should also be in a position to help improve someone’s lack of skill by teaching.

Stubbornness, however I sometimes will discriminate on that basis.
