SIEVE
Ok. I think at this point, I feel confident enough (took me long enough – years) to use COGNITIVE SCIENCE (as defined as an interdisciplinary study of the brain (and mind) and its processes drawing from Psychology, Neuroscience, Philosophy, Anthropology, Artificial Intelligence (Computer Science), Linguistics) as a sieve through which I’ll put whatever I was researching over the last 9+ years through. But I won’t SUBSORT (I’ll try not to); rather, I will end up with what DOESN’T seem to fit immediately, which hopefully is less than what DOES.
