First method appears to inscribe a sphere in each triangle but not showing the triangles themselves.

I think of it as a pedagogical tool to wrap one’s mind around strange results. We can visualize a 1/2 spin as a 720 degree rotation. Is it actually rotating? If it were a ball, sure. But it’s not. Still, it explains predictable results and it’s great for modeling visuals.
