She’s a standard politician. As a standard politician, she did standard politician things.

She’s a standard politician. As a standard politician, she did standard politician things. Typically, standard politicians get elected in the end because it seems most citizens like a standard politician bullshitter who knows how to work the standard political bullshit system.

Trump is H. Ross Perot with small ears. But at least he stayed independent. I voted for Perot. Twice. But Trump being lined with a party and Sanders being lined with a party both kinda ruin the independent thing for me.

===

What sucks is Clinton is gong to win. Extremists don’t win elections in the USA. It’s cute watching Trump and Sanders try though. Hopefully they’ll bring new life into the system.

Trump’s the first businessman to make waves, and Sanders is the first hippie to make waves. I’m glad: elections had been getting boring.

. I really wanted our first female president to be someone like an Indira Ghandi or something. But she put herself in the pipeline while her hubby was there, making all the connections necessary and stuff.

===

That’s what will kill both Sanders and Trump alike: Protectionist politics are popular with the people until they realize the Walmarts and Dollar Stores will vanish.

Shame though: all my ideology says it’s a great idea, but dammit, I like my laptops at $400 not $4000. *sigh*.

For some things, yeah, but i think she’ll trash Obamacare and start over. It was an unpopular system and new presidents like to make their mark. Since she had her own Healthcare proposals 20 years ago, she’ll change that system to get popularity points with the people.

===

Well I don’t believe anything a politician says and she’s a politician through and through. Even if it’s not Obamacare, there will be something significant she’ll change from the prior administration:

Look at Bush Sr: Everybody thought they’d get Reagan 2.0. But he was different.

Globalism needs to pull back a *little* bit – the TPP went WAY too far, especially with their copyright protections for corporations… but fact is, white ppl don’t want to pick tomatoes, robots aren’t ready we like our Walmarts and Dollar stores and we don’t want to spent $3000 cash for a made in the USA cellphone.

===

Pisses me off too because ALL my idealism points to Protectionism being the way to go. It’s painful for me to admit I like being cheap.

===

Yeah, I think between free trade and the UN (yes, I believe in the UN for all of its flaws), both are powerful tools for world peace. What people don’t realize is that world peace is an awkward state of affairs. It’s not the least bit relaxing. But it’s functional.

===

Yeah, I’m fine with that as well. As long as there’s some coalitions. 193 recognized countries would be too chaotic if they were ALL truly independent of one another

===

It’s weird cause I’m a “social anarchist” at heart and yet, I’m fine with cooperation on larger scales.

I guess it fits together in a way: I don’t want a “one world government” because that’ll just never happen.

But some form of “awkward peace”, strange bedfellows, trade agreements, human rights agreements, etc where there’s SOME cooperation but lots of autonomy otherwise for each of the countries.. .does seem to fit in a social anarchist mindset I suppose.

===

Thing is, though, I don’t think it matters if he wins the nomination or not. He captured a mindset of a lot of people: a very unexpected hippie mindset with a force never seen before in an election cycle.

I didn’t “feel the bern” but I watched from afar with envy for those that do.

There’s a good chance I’ll write him in if he doesn’t go independent.

===

Honestly, I’d like to see a Trump/Sanders combo. At least I hope that debate happens on June 6th. That might end up pulling a few surprises.

===

Just imagine how they could balance each other out.

===

I couldn’t put the democratic cloak on for an election cycle. I was tempted but selfishly I don’t want to start getting phone calls, emails, and all sorts of democratic crap in the mail.

[====

Cool, they must’ve improved. I dunno – there’s a lot of stuff about the democratic party I like, yet at the same time, there’s things that the republican party is correct about…. and of course things they’re both wrong about, usually covered somewhat by the libertarians. So, I dunno.

I believe in the individual at every exchange like emoticon
