^Shared in a reading of "Bark, George", by Jules Feiffer and we actually laughed out loud. 1st or 2nd graders can read it themselves. Deceptively simple, it got a 5 star rating all over the place for good reason. And I wondered "Where did I hear that name Jules Feiffer before?" – he co-authored one of my favorite all time books (and movies) as a kid: "The Phantom Tollbooth" – which I still have a copy of somewhere.

If you have kids of that age that can read themselves, or want something funny to read out loud for younger kids, "Bark, George" is a surprisingly funny book.^
