I’ve discovered for myself through the years that 100% cotton for a lot of things makes my skin unhappy.
My skin seems happiest with some kind of 60/40 polyester cotton
The cotton ends up being too rough. I think I can feel the little tiny cotton fibers? I don’t know.
The polyester is smooth kind of in a silk type way.
Although oddly enough I’ve discovered these super thin bandanas I now wear around my neck for sweat that are 100% cotton time + Tru at Walmart women’s section various colors
They’re almost sheer. A tiny bit thicker ones are intolerable.
Try different fabrics. Different weights. Different colors (my skin can’t do color with black dye mixed in maybe tar?)
My skin also Can’t do fabric that I’ve worn and washed too many times. it gets sharp on the inside or something. But I can’t wear things that I sweated in once a second time after I remove it?
(Sorry for infodump. this is the first time I ever typed it out)
I can’t tolerate anything around my forehead except that bandana material sometimes.
It’s a shame because I would love to wear hats. Never could except for one 100% wool Irish cab driver hat in the winter. Rarely wear it.
