calling something a science means one is following and/or creating a methodology.

is there a science of analytical philosophy? i imagine there likely is.

the split into a category called Science all by itself is kind of an odd thing and doesn’t translate into every language as “science”

 

i may modify my original here :

science begins as an academic discipline.

the academic disciplines grew out of scholasticism movement.

all can be traced.
