Scientific results are always contingent. But, I’m basically an anti-realist instrumental. I’m not all the way over into being a relativist though. As I don’t marry my cognitive processes to any particular ‘theory’, dissonance is difficult to achieve. It’s possible, sure. But there’s wider berth available in me than you’ll find in most people who tend to have more essentialism than they realize, particularly relativists who have sort of an essentialism about their relativism, a topic you like to touch on with your wokie talk.
