Sandy Barrow’s be a kind leader advice above is solid and i can’t add to it. i’ve been thrust into leadership roles many times and groaned but i usually did things the same. I delegate to people that I think can handle things, especially people I don’t like. by showing them trust it wins their favor (unless they’re evil but that’s actually really rare) I pay attention to see if they follow through but not micromanage. let people do things their way so long as the main goal gets accomplished

I was suddenly a tutor in fifth grade to third graders.

I was suddenly a weekly Sunday school teacher to little kids in middle school and high school

I was suddenly a senior patrol leader in Boy Scouts – 14 in charge of a lot of 12 years olds

at work i’d suddenly myself in charge of projects

at a computer store I worked at I was suddenly a senior tech

come to Florida I’m suddenly running a business for animal trapping so that my brother can have steady employment

and i’m suddenly running a house of in-laws and whoever is here

A lot of times it was by choice

ran online mailing lists / discussion groups in the early Internet

ran a lot of Bulletin board systems

started and ran a minecraft server for my nephew between 2012-2014 (they called me ServerGod and made religious statues of me )

I seem to do things the same way whatever it is

I know you’ll do fine

that was weird. I never listed it all before.

yeah you’ll do great. you’re concerned about it but willing to do it anyway so just by that you’ll be a good leader
