Same. I found out they call it “catastrophizing”. There’s a type of ocd with that name. Also, it shows up as a symptom in “generalized anxiety disorder”. So yeah, it’s definitely a part of things. Inattentive ADHD seems to pull together all that stuff well for me. It just took me a long time to really ‘see it’ – kept dancing around it.

I did some brain research: I think it’s your body is physically preparing for each emergency.
So in that moment that you’re sure the ceiling is about to collapse on you for no reason at all, your premotor system practices ducking and running in your head.
All in a split second.
Now multiply that times how many times a day this happens and, well…
