right. Where does the propensity for human organisms to coalesce into societal ‘structures’ evolve from?

 k. we’ve observed societies forming all the way down to the simplest species we consider life forms – bacteria.
Are there costs/benefits to being in a societal grouping?
What I’m doing is generalizing the notion of taxation, to view it as a function of society because there has never been any society that I’m aware of without some kind of taxation-like function going on.
