Recent. Mom’s retirement health insurance changes each year. Goes to lowest bidder. That’s normal county govt stuff.
But this year, since the exec order eliminated a state’s ability to regulate its own insurance company policies, the field’s wide open and ripe for scam potential.
The lowest bidder (winner) this year is what looks like a fly-by-night health ins co. They clearly weren’t ready to win the bid. Told her to ignore the deadline paperwork and “we’ll call you when we’re ready”.
Maybe it’ll magically work out fine. But that eo changed things FAST and the scammers are rushing in and just getting warmed up.
That’s not my only example but its the most recent. Moral travesties are important but ultimatlely mental masturbation. But when stuff hits home, it’s real.
It’s not the only thing and the point is that “who cares” about what this or that group are doing with each other. That’s gossip and shit.
But a bad government with bad domestic policy does bad things to real people, regardless of party shit.
I’ll call out any of those assholes when they do wrong. I’m not a Democrat or Republican. But I’m a citizen who wants a good-enough America for all citizens or at least as much as possible.
Greedy rich ppl I expect. But this is like naked politics now. I don’t want to see this shit. Screw the ppl but make them believe you’re earnest at least.
This administration’s not even trying.
She lost. She no longer matters to me.
They’re doing false pieties and ppl are eating it up. But only some.
Anyway, all I know is what’s in front of me. If you voted him in, you made your bed and are lying in it. I didn’t. I’d take Pence who is theoretically policy worse but at least isn’t 3 fries short of a happy meal at best, thinks he’s clever at worst.
If you didn’t vote, why does it matter to you? I ask the same of my eastern european friends who still meme about her, pro Trump, anti liberal, etc even though they never stepped foot in the USA.
It’s my country. I care about its future. Maybe that makes me stupid but I do.
I’d have voted for him too. I voted for her because Sanders was like a termite to the Dems and while the plan to infiltrate from within wasn’t ideal, it wasn’t awful either.
You can complain not having voted but honestly it gives a little less weight. I voted for you in a sense but it wasn’t enough.
I usually vote 3rd party but it wasn’t viable this time for a few reasons. But usually I do. I *did* vote for Bush W once – 2nd term. I liked his cabinet. Then he fired them all. I learned.
I didn’t notice. I liked a few members of his first cabinet. Hated that all of ‘em (Washington) are war mongers but they still are and would be, Trump or no Trump
He’s establishment now. The House Republicans love pushing shit though that he’ll blindly sign. It’ll take years to unravel that the Christian Coalition FINALLY got the power they dreamed of.
