Real life roles and expectations would place unspoken barriers to ever get this deep.

This exchange is so beautiful here… Reminds me why I’m grateful for online. Consider how impossible it would be in real life to get the people in this conversation together in the same room understanding the same material at this level of depth at the same time… In happenstance….?

Real life roles and expectations would place unspoken barriers to ever get this deep.

So grateful here.

Same way people have done it for generations Akule.

Standardized language, and a pedagogy that is heavy on Metaphoric rather than Literalistic understanding of the world – which makes sense, again, because language is referential.

To be accurate doesn’t automatically mean one is literal, for what are we comparing? Experiences. Models of those experiences. So then metaphor is best since no two experience are the same, nor are they 1-1 representations of their environments.

If we tell stories that evoke emotions then is this more accurate than say the communication of a math problem?”
