Punch Line at end. All true

Punch Line at end. All true. Interesting morning: Woke up, said to self, ”Self. No matter what happens today, just treat it as absolutely normal”, as I had that ”Today is going to be a weird day” feeling. Glad I did. 1) Couldn’t find glasses. 2) Computer was not charging and no jiggling would fix it. 3) Couldn’t find cellphone. With the wrong attitude, it would have made today a DISASTER.

RESULTS: 1) ended up FINDING glasses in odd spot, just before we left. I fell asleep in a different spot in bed, glasses were hiding, 2 feet away, under something. SOLVED.

2) Picked up replacement ”netbook charger” they happened to have at Ace Hardware for $39.95. ”ACE IS THE PLACE”. Staples/Officemax/etc wanted about $70-80 for one. Came home, and…. it WORKS!

SOLVED.

3) Came home, had to use bathroom. Sitting on the throne, I hear a ”knock knock”. ”Kenny, i have Good News and I have Bad News. The Good News:

I found your phone.

The Bad News?

It was at the bottom of the WASHING MACHINE.”

*sigh*. So now my blackberry is sitting in a box of RICE to soak up the moisture. I’ll leave it there for 24 hours or so, then charge it up and hope it works again. It should. (most electronics will survive water IF THEY ARE TURNED OFF and NOT TURNED ON ‘TIL THEY’RE DRY. And rice dries out anything).

So: Treat everything that comes you way as normal and OKAY. Fix what you can fix, Accept what you can’t fix. Most importantly: DON’T PANIC. Play your cards right, and it will be fine.
