Portion of Berlin Wall being taken down by bulldozer, November 9, 1989. I was 17 years old. I didn’t see it as a “victory of USA vs Soviet Union” but a people unjustly held back and now released. Keeping people walled off isn’t exclusive to any economic system as all seem to do it and they always have their excuses why, including the USA.

Videos of people being able to join into the demolition of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989 and the days and weeks afterwards have been inspiring people collectively fighting for freedom ever since. There’s always somebody putting up a wall and always people saying “no”.
