Piano and typing saved me.

 Yes. Perhaps alternative forms of expression is what you need at the moment.
 When I was young, unable to write more than a few words and also unable to speak well, I took to the piano as mode of expression. I learned it quickly. I also sang a lot and invented a lot of songs. (Between the ages of 5-8 in particular)
 At 8 I learned to conquer stuttering through speech therapy. I never fully conquered fear of judgment while speaking but I did take very well to typing in middle school, as writing cramped my hands.
 Yes it was through typing that I gained a fuller expressive capability. Then when words fail, I make illustrations on the computer to express things using boxes and words and arrows and such.
