oh ! in that sense i’m lucky i think. stuck for me is having the same negative thought repeating several times in a period of seconds.
its like a stutter but in the brain or a trigger.
i can push it aside quickly – it takes anywhere from 15 seconds to 20 minutes in bad cases — but thankfully i don’t get it for days.
i’ll sometimes get melancholy for a couple of days : that might be more the time scale you’re talking about — but that rarely lasts as i’m into another project very quickly usually.
