Pather Panchali (1955) – Edge / line art short ffmpeg test I’m proud of the result. I hadn’t known that ffmpeg HAD canny edge detect. I was going about it the long way. What it’s doing is: a) 3x bigger THEN b) canny edge detect. The “right” edge detect range took a lot of trial and error. I wanted a minimal line drawing that was single color and clean. You first make it bigger prior to edge detection because it works much much better when you do that. Command: ffmpeg -i “..\vlc-record-2019-05-25-20h05m33s-Satyajit Ray’s Pather Panchali (1955) India ( Esp Sub)-.mp4″ -s:v 1920:1440 -vf “edge detect=canny:low=0.6:high=0.6″ -c:v libx264 -crf 51 -preset veryfast -c:a copy edgetest4.mp4
